Grace Nichols
Grace Nichols has won various awards and prizes for her poetry and writing, with the most recent being the 2021 Queens' Gold Medal for Poetry. She is Guyanese and moved to Britain in 1977.
Amanda Gorman
Amanda Gorman is an American poet, perhaps most famously known for her inauguration poem, The Hill We Climb'. She is the first Youth Poet Laureate of the United States. Watch a performance of her poem, 'We Rise', below.
